Chetco Cove Yacht Club Goals

To promote the general welfare of the boating community.

To promote the improvement of and use of the Port of Brookings-Harbor

To communicate and cooperate with the Port Commission in furtherance of the above.

To promote the education of boaters and those interested in becoming boaters, particularly the youth.

To promote the enjoyment of safe and wise use of our local waters.

To assist the Port and U.S. Coast Guard in their legitimate exercise of authority, retaining of course the right to express our opinions.

To use our best judgment to balance uses of the waters, shoreline, and port facilities, considering the environment, local economics, and legitimate human uses.

To at all times be of good humor and to enjoy this club, its members and the entire water using community for the reasonable pleasure of all.

To be as inclusive as possible to all who have common interests and a love of the water.
