The Port of Brookings-Harbor is a recognized Port of Refuge providing one of the safest river bar crossings in the Northwest.  The US Coast Guard station is located on the south bank, just inside the jetty.  The civilian port is managed by an Executive Director and elected Board of Commisioners. The Port offers commercial property leases, operates a launch ramp, fuel dock, and yard with travelift capabilities, and leases all boat moorage, most including electrical hookup.  A large transient dock is available for marine visitors.
