Customize your forum settings

You may not have noticed, but you can customize some of your setting in the forums. You can add an “avatar” (image to be posted with your name) as well as several other adjustments. Just click on “my settings”, you will be presented with your user options.

You can also insert links to other pages or websites. Just use the ';link'; button above the text box while you are typing a post. Here is a link to the old web site as an example: CCYC old site.

One other thing I forgot to mention, there is a section of the forums that is only visible to members who are logged in, so if you are watching the forums and not logging in, you are missing alot!

Forum upgrade bugs and quick fixes

This is a new/updated forum module and it still has some issues/bugs. The programmers are diligently working to correct the biggest issues and have given us some “quick fixes” for others.

As some of you noticed, the “Email Me when there is a new post” function stopped working when we upgraded. There is also another bug that prevents you from starting a new thread and it is related to the “Email me” function. Here is the quick fix for that:

“You can get around this by going to ';My Settings'; and then clicking on the + next to Tracking/Subscription. Then click on the + next to CCYC Forum. Put a checkmark in each box and then do the same for the Discussions (Members only) forum. Then click update.

If you don't want to keep getting emails, go in after updating and uncheck the boxes. (It is a bug, but this is a quick fix.)
