The weather forecast still indicates small seas and moderate winds, so it's still looking like a good race day. When the wind is from the North, there's often a huge wind shadow below Chetco Point, so the fleet might have to go a little farther out to see the promised wind. Maybe House Rock or the Lighthouse using Mark J (GPS circle course starting mark) as a start/finish?

We have another racing opportunity this weekend, although the weather forecast already looks marginal. Let's hope the forecast improves as the week grinds on!

The weather forecast looks a little better two days out, so let's plan on sailing. It appears we may have to lower our standards if we're going to get any sailing in this year!

The forecast for Saturday went from atrocious to mild in just one day, so I'm counting on more changes during the week. Forty knot winds on Friday and 2 foot swells on Saturday doesn't sound likely. Let's just keep our fingers crossed!

This forecast looks pretty good. The NW wind means we'll get some wind closer to shore, and might let us do a House Rock run!
