The weather for Saturday is looking to be about as good as it gets in Brookings, so if we can manage a three boat fleet, there sure should be racing! If nothing else, I'm sure a few boats will go for a sail.

May 22 is our next race possibility, and right now the weather is looking good for a race. Since there's no meeting or potluck Saturday night, we'll discuss having some sort of longer race, maybe House Rock or the Lighthouse at the Skippers Meeting, of course depending on the weather.

Although the marine weather forecast doesn't look too bad at this point, there is a special alert for the region calling for low altitude snow, unusually cold weather, and potential thunderstorms. Please check the website for the latest status, but there's a good chance the race will be cancelled today or tomorrow.

Ocean race is cancelled for Saturday May 22. The weather forecast includes thunderstorms, which is a good enough reason, without the snow/sleet/rain. Next race is June 12.
