Membership into the Chetco Cove Yacht Club can be achieved
with several types of membership, Regular, Social, and
Junior memberships are the most common. In all cases, new
members need the sponsorship of an existing member, the
approval of the membership committee/board of directors, and
finally an affirmative vote of the regular membership.
FAQs:
Q: What
is the difference between the different types of membership?
A: Simply put, a regular member owns a boat or is regular
crew on a boat, a social member does not meet the regular
member requirements and a junior member is more than 14 but
less than 18 years of age. (click
here for the complete membership descriptions and
requirements)
Q: How
much does it cost to be a member?
A: The Initiation fee for Regular and Social members is
$120.00. This fee is deferred for Junior members until they
turn 18, at which time the initiation fee becomes due.
Dues for Regular members are $120.00 per year.
Dues for Social members are $90.00 per year.
Dues for Junior members are $60.00 per year.
Below is
a link to a printable membership application. It is
best to have your sponsoring member submit your application
and fees (initiation fee and, at a minimum, one quarter of
the annual dues) to the membership committee however, we
understand that is not always possible so if necessary you
may mail your completed application and appropriate fees to
the address below.
