03.01 Regular Members:
Regular members shall be those persons who have a demonstrated interest, "in on the water activities", are recommended by the Membership Committee, approved by A 2/3 majority vote of the Regular Members and are full dues paying members in good standing.  Demonstrated interest in "on the water activities" shall be defined as: Ownership and use of a boat of 8' or more of deck length, being a regular crew member on a boat, verified and sponsored by the captain of said vessel, meaningful regular participation in the race committee, verified and sponsored by the Committee chairman, regularly assisting in placement and retrieval of marker buoys, or members of the US Navy, Coast Guard or Auxiliary.   A regular membership is considered to be one person having one vote. A husband and wife must each be a paid regular member, each paying annual dues but only one initiation fee, for each of them to have a vote in all business before the Club, as hereinafter more fully described.  Regular Members shall have a vote in all things coming before the General Membership.   It is the intention of the membership, recognizing that social activities are important, that the CCYC shall emphasize "on the water activities". Once a person has qualified as having a demonstrated interest in on the water activities, Regular Membership shall not be lost by being temporarily without a boat.

03.02 Social Members:
Members as hereinbefore defined, but not complying with 03.01. Shall have full access to all Club facilities and are entitled to participate in all Club activities and events. Social members shall have voting rights limited to matters concerning Articles of Incorporation, but are not entitled to hold office as a board member in the Club, nor vote for board members.

03.04 Junior Membership:
A person who is 14 years of age and less than 18 years of age may be considered for non-voting membership in the CCYC as a Junior Member as long as they have a Regular Member sponsor/mentor them. Written permission of the parent or legal guardian of the proposed Junior Member, along with a hold harmless agreement, is a prerequisite for being considered as a Junior Member. The initiation fee for a Junior Member may be deferred, at the current rate, until said member becomes 18, dues of up to 1/2 the regular dues may be imposed by the board on a case by case basis, based upon the financial ability of the Junior Member or his or her family. The prospective new Junior Member applicant shall fill out a membership application and return it to the member sponsoring them. A Junior Member applicant must agree to abide by all the requirements of a regular member.
